The Pembroke Welsh Corgi: Family Friend and Farmhand (Howell Best of Breed)
These powerful little herding dogs have been helping around the farm and snuggling with the children at home for hundreds of years. They're equally at home tending flocks as they are following the Queen of England's frocks. A small dog with a BIG personality, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi is ranked 34th of the 146 breeds registeded with the American Kennel club. This book examines the characteristics that make the Corgi so special and explains all aspects of raising and caring for this unique breed. From choosing the right puppy to basic care and ownership, the Corgi lover will find it all here. A full-color insert, several appendices, and an extensive index are just part of what makes this title appealing for those who love the diligent and dedicated Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
