1912. Montessori, the first Italian woman M.D., was one of the great pioneers in studying the intellectual development of the young child. Only through movement and manipulation, through thinking with the senses, does the child proceed to later abstract thinking. Wonderful approach! please read before taking sociopath claims of a previous reviewer seriously

The book is dry, I do admit...but it is sound. I really wanted to reply to the review claims made by a Doctor (of what I am not terribly sure) that this will turn your children into sociopaths. As per my post in the comments reply...
