Good activity ideas
Mr. Seldin happens to be the president of the Montessori Foundation, and so I suppose it should not be surprising that the book is essentially an infomercial on Montessori schools. But does that mean it's not worth reading?Actually, no- the book does have value, even for (or maybe especially for)...

My daughter and son-in-law will probably not be able to afford to send my granddaughter to a Montessori school, unfortunately. This book has many Montessori ideas to be used at home. For example, they have already made a treasure basket for their 8 month old, filled with items with different...

A great introduction to the Montessori method
I didn't know much about the Montessori method, but this book was a great introduction to both the general principals, and specific practices. It's a fairly quick read, with lots of pictures (showcasing the most amazing kids fashion I've ever seen), but it offers a wonderful window into a method...

A good introduction - Practical tips to apply Montessori at home
My daughter goes to a Montessori daycare. Before signing her up, I had reviewed online information. This book does not really give you more than what you can find online on the method itself, and does not touch on the critism made to the Montessori method. However, it is a very pleasant book and...
