Very Helpful and Informative.
The book is amazing. Very thorough and entertaining. I have had the pleasure of going on an edible plant walk with Samuel, he is so knowledgable and interesting. A wonderful job. Cannot wait for the next book, he almost has it ready.

BEST Book for a Beginner
This is the best book for a beginner. this book shows you how to store, prepare and harvest on top of showing you how to identify plants. this book has some depth to it. He describes the plant very well with added pictures for confirmation, he'll show you look alike plants so you dont get...

This guide is primarily for the northern states and south eastern Canada but many of the plants he covers are more widespread. It is not complete and not intended to be. It is primarily the most useful and widespread wild plants that the author has used. He gives very specific and practical...

the forager's harvest
This seems very thorough on what it covers, but it is limited to what the author personally has used. His writing style is bold and helpful. There are more plants I would like to know about that he doesn't include.

Got 6 foraging books, this is the best tutorial!
The other reviews cover the strengths of this book well. Just wanted to add my 5 stars! I ordered about 6 books at the same time as a beginner foraging and this is definitely the best in terms of treatment and tutorial on foraging. I only wish the author had covered more plants!
