Review from a shopper who 'Loved it'
From: Posted: Jun 25, 2008 Type: User Review Nice book

It is a very nice, interesting, and useful book. It is not, however, well organized, so that it is hard to find a bird. Also, for each bird the book only gives one phrase from its song.

This idea of a book was ruined by the fact that you have to know the bird call and the bird to hear it. OK for a kid to listen to,once, It has sat on the shelf for 6 months-unused

Review from a shopper who was 'On the Fence'
From: Posted: Jun 13, 2008 Type: User Review High Quality, but not very portable for children and adults

I really liked this book when I saw it at our local zoo in the Wetlands area. The pictures are great, sounds good.
However, it is not a very portable book. It is rather big and heavy. Also, there are so many birds in this book that if you...

Review from a shopper who 'Hated it'
From: Posted: Dec 30, 1999 Type: User Review Buyer Beware

Though still an excellent field guide buyers should be aware that this book is merely a rejacketed version of the 1977 edition. It has not been updated and the recommended reading list in the back does not contain material published past 1976....

Review from a shopper who was 'On the Fence'
From: Posted: Dec 31, 2007 Type: User Review Would be good if not for the printing error

This is an awesome book, but there was obviously a printing error in the copy I bought. An entire chunk of pages has been repeated and a whole 'nother chunk is missing.

My only other complaint is that it'd be nice if these field...

I wish this book had more detail in both drawnings and discreptions. As in more possable colorings from juvenile to adult and sex. Color of eggs, what kind of nest, habitat and sounds.

Review from a shopper who 'Loved it'
From: Posted: May 23, 2008 Type: User Review Wishing for More

The Forager's Harvest is a beautiful book that delivers on the whole. While I would love to see a series of photos that illustrate the plant from sprout through death, that would be asking a lot, and I could not hope for anyone to provide that. As...
