Had to read but glad

This is a required book for a seminary class on spiritual disciplines. I am glad I was required to read it. I have fully enjoyed the book. It has a lot of good in depth thoughts on the spiritual disciplines. The best part is that it causes you to think about your own spiritual journey.

The best resource available

Marjorie's writing style is incredibly engaging for a novice just getting started on a spiritual journey. I used it for a Lenten book for a progressive, "heady" congregation last year and many people felt it included them. Some thought the Christian presumption was too strong, but I think she's...
