There are many capable alternatives with live support that we use for SMB's that require responsiveness to critical downtime situations. Netgear isn't one of them.

Netgear's ReadyNAS NV+ does its job neatly and unobtrusively, and is well worth considering by small businesses. Most home offices will find it too noisy though...
