One of the great RTS games that you never hear about

This is one of the best RTS games that I have played. I love the "what if" type of game that applies to current events, such as high gas prices and terrorist attacks. I think the actors were good in their rolls. The graphics of the are stunning. Launching an attack to retake the capital building...

Awesome graphics - Lame strategy - No Humour

I love C&C generals zero hour despite the fact that it is filled with cheaters and have no support anymore (if it ever was any support to speak of)Reason for this , is not graphics, but gameplay and strategy depth. If you only care about the wrapping and not the inside, then Direct Action is...

Buy it if you can find it.

I have played both the C&C as well as RA2 and Act of War is as good as it gets. This may be the game that the other RTS games were trying to achieve. The graphics are spectacular, maybe an 8 out 10 (even better if you have a PC that can keep up). San Francisco, London and Moscow are all well...

Absolutly Fan Friggin tastic

In short the graphics and sound are outstanding. But what makes this game remarkable is a great campaign that intermingles the game engine with FMV the like of which have not been seen since the first C&C except this has a much higher production value. Also the unit balance is incredible I love...

Graphics great implementation sucks

Game eats resources (memory; video;hd), freezes. Multiplayer does not work on any port by 5000, change settings or not. Even there it is impossible to start if you have any kind of network security. I have dual CPU, 1G memory, 256 M video. It does not help performance at all. In fact it display...

Wish I could give it 3.5 stars

This game is O.K. The missions are easy, really easy. Please do play on the hardest level. I can't even imagine how easy the easy levels could be. I only had to restart a few times and that's just because I wanted to "play" around and build a big and perfect army to attack with and would...

graphics are nice. game controls & storyline kinda sucked

The graphics were amazing. By zooming in an arc to the ground level, the details are better than Command & Conquer Generals. On the other hand, the game controls are just not good: they're very confusing. I wanted to force the units to destroy some buildings to have more buildable space, but they...

Much potential for this game yet there is something missing

There has been a long comparison between this game and the game C&C Generals. However, I find some aspects in the westwood rts line that made it great not in this game. One aspect that disturbs me is that you can skip through missions. That turns off all of the fun right there. The campaign is...

Good game, but not that great. Beware of system spec

This game has good graphics, great cut scenes and the terrain and units are very well detailed, But it is not as great as some people are saying. What i don't find good in this game is the movement of the units, they move very choppy, not as smooth as in Generals. The objects are too sharp and...
