Definitely a bargain!
I have avoided getting any tickets ever since I got this laser radar detector, and I have yet to experience a false alarm. It's also so much cheaper than actually buying it from escort, and it's still sold by an authorized seller, I recommend.

Passport 8500 Fu******* Best
I have never been pulled over for speeding with this magnificent device. I call it "My Baby" or "Best Friend". If you buy this dectector you will prevent the revenue makers from generating more money for their city or county. Oh! of course drive with caution and responsibly. "Common sense...

Best detector I've owned
I've been using radar detectors since 1988 and have to say this is the cream of the crop so far. Long range detection and a beautiful design. The Mute button and Alert light on the plug are a big hit with me, no need to reach up to the windshield to silence the unit. It's not overloaded with...

Beware, it doesn't work when it gets hot
When this unit is in direct sun light for too long, it stops working, but you will never know it until you get a ticket. In other words, the display says that it is on, and there is no radar, so it looks like it is working correctly, but it won't beep when there is radar anymore. The only way...

Escort or Valentine? THAT is the question...
I have had this radar detector for about six months now and I must say that overall I'm very happy with it. I've been using radar detectors for about 6 years now (I have not had a single ticket since I started using them) and have tried many of the less expensive brands (Cobra and others) until I...

Well worth the investment!
This is the 4th escort I have purchased. I have one in each car. This last one was given to my son who keeps getting stupid tickets. I don't speed, but occasionally one becomes involved in conversation, music, or Alpha level thought. The escort alerts you to the presence of radar so that you...

Best Damn Detector out there.
Regardless of what anyone else says. This detector is great. The Mute button on the cord is the best invention since sliced bread!! Someone stated in a review that a CON was that you had to Turn on the POP every time you turned your car on. Hes a Dummy. You turn it on ONCE and it stays on. It Has...

Good detector, but bad quality
I bought my X50 Blue a couple years ago and it worked fine for about a year. Then the "self cal" alarm kept going off. Finally, it got to the point where it said "service required". I called Escort and it was of course out of warranty. They did however tell me that for $60.00 that they would...

Over 5 Years has saved me thousands.
I'm on my second one now.First one, like the reports you see in rating of (1), I too thought it would be OK to leave it out in the blazing hot sun on the dash like the New-Yorker did, and it didn't like it. Well after almost 5 years of worthy service, it now needs service. I haven't sent it in...
