The First Years: Two Receiver 49 MHZ Monitor
At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

Can hear the neighbors kid
We got this 2 1/2 years ago for my first daughter. It's worked fine until we tried to use it in a different room for our newest addition. It will ONLY pick up the signal from the neighbors' monitor (we live in an attached twin/duplex) on one...

Good for what I need
I live in a small apartment so I didn't require a really good long distance monitor. I like the fact that this works from the mains and I am not using up loads of batteries. I have had no issues with switching on the parts etc. There is a...

Good product for the price - 6 years and going strong!
I got this monitor when my first child was born, 6 years ago. It is still going strong! I think it is great for the price.

Junk
As others have mentioned there is excessive static. One of my units crapped out after 13mo. This is fairly common of stuff made in China. It's too bad that most Americans are too cheap to support American made products. They sure were made FAR...

The monitor is very senstive and it has a good range. Our property is a small .6 acres and it reaches anywhere on it. I do have to echo the comments about static; however for an inexpensive monitor on a frequency no other major device uses...

Horrible static!
We don't have a huge house, but have found it impossible to use these monitors because they have so much static whenever they are turned on! We are going to try and return them and purchase something that does not make so much noise!

Great Monitor --- Even after a drop in the pool
This monitor was rated well by consumer reports, I liked that it came with two recievers, so I asked for it last year. The reception is great!!!! I can go outside and any place in the house and it always works. I can hear her stir no problem....

I have had this monitor for 7 months + now, and I loved it at first. It is super sensitive and the range is good for my house. BUT the static is now so bad that I can't hear him as well as I used to. I am now looking for another monitor and I am...
