PROS: I have not had any problems at all with Vista. I have 2 desktop computers and 1 laptop running vista and have not had any crashes or hardware problems at all.
CONS: The one drawback and I knew this was coming is if you have a printer, scanner etc. and it is a few years old you might need to go to the maufactors website for updated drivers.

Install required support from tech support for 2 hours! Now will not reboot - total frustration with Microsoft - Apple here I come!!!!

great if you can afford it, and need a new computer with at least 2gb ram 256 or higher graphics card helps. and at least a pentium 4 HT or higher processer ive seen vista on a celeron with 2gb. ran horrible

PROS: Better interface, nice boot up time, better security instant search on start menu integrated media center on home premium and ultimate
CONS: hardware requirements software issues pre- service pack 1(better with SP1)

It's always good to install the latest code for any operating system, but installing Windows Vista SP1 will require some users to spend a few hours without any visible or tangible improvements to their systems...

CONS: Lacks any compelling 'must haves' In most cases, doesn't significantly improve performance (in some cases, it even degrades performance)
