The book has a good introduction to some the software with RedHat, but its pretty obsolete if you want to learn the latest such as grub, different filesystem types, CUPS, etc. If you need more specific details on options and all, look...

This is only a really great book if you want to set up your computer exactly the same way the author did. As a newbie (with some Unix experience), I was dissapointed to find the info is not very in depth after the installation & setup...
