Skinny Bitch

Not your typical boring diet book, this is a tart-tongued, no-holds-barred wakeup call to all women who want to be thin. With such blunt advice as, "Soda is liquid Satan" and "You are a total moron if you think the Atkins Diet will make you thin," it's a rallying cry for all savvy women to start eating healthy and looking radiant. Unlike standard diet books, it actually makes the reader laugh out loud with its truthful, smart-mouthed revelations. Behind all the attitude, however, there's solid guidance. Skinny Bitch espouses a healthful lifestyle that promotes whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, and encourages women to get excited about feeling "clean and pure and energized."  more

This book is so great and so inspiring and honestly, since i went from a vegetarian to a vegan diet, i feel so much better, allergies gone and energy fully back without the daily coffee. This book is awesome and i would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a healthier diet. It is hard to...

Keep your money

I was pretty excited to get this book (I had been eyeing it for a long time). I'm vegetarian so I thought the content in it would interest me and also, I had read so many articles about this book and how it had changed lives. Also, I'm all for a frank and tough approach to losing weight. I mean,...

Rediculous Preachy AR b.s. Waste of a Day's Read

When I first started reading this book I thought it was going to be great, very straight forward and something to learn from. Then I got to chapter 3 I believe maybe it was chapter 4, and it all went downhill. Preaching about animal rights and berating readers for eating meat or animal products....

the title and the content DO agree

the authors are correct. meat does in fact ferment in your digestive tract; the enzymes and nutrients in fact are denatured (rendered unstable and malnutritious) by the cooking process; fresh fruits vegetables DO contain live enzymes and nutrients and SHOULD be eaten fresh in order to preserve...

1 only because 0 is not available!

Very disappointed to have bought this book. Authors seem very angry, and well - mean! Many people are in serious trouble for calling themselves "fat pigs", a phrase used often in this book. There is an abusive tone to the authors - do not buy this book!!

Helpful and funny for men to read too!!

Read it cover to cover on plane ride. Very funny, very opinionated, yet it has helped me lose 30 lbs and eat healthier. No, it didn't turn me into a vegan, but I did stop eating meat and drinking milk after reading the book.

Not a Diet Book

As mentioned in the previous reviews, this is simply a book to promote the vegan lifestyle and complain about the meat and dairy industries in the U.S. It's fine if you choose to be vegan, but I thought this would be a regular diet book that told me how to lose weight in a realistic way. These...

Take it for what it is....

I read this book because I have been told by many friends that it has a lot of good lessons for eating. I have recently lost 30 lbs (not on this diet) but I hit a plateau. I have lived most my life with a "take it or leave it" attitude with meat. It doesn't thrill me, never has. So reading this...

Don't waste your time....

I bought this book expecting it to be a humorous book on dieting perhaps get a tip or two while I read it. I was thoroughly dissappointed. This book isn't even funny or interesting....and it has no tips. Let me sum it up....go fully organic vegan, eat tofu....if you eat anything else you...

Save your money!

The authors of this book have confused being candid with being crass. This book is bursting with crackpot theories with my favorite being that lowering the pH of your body by drinking coffee causes you body to produce fat cells to protect your organs from the acid. What on Earth are they babbling...
