Mac users BEWARE
Even though the packaging states Ver. 12.0 will run on a Mac, be very careful. The product DOES NOT run on newer Macs with Intel Duo Core processors.

In no way am I knocking this product. However, before you buy take note that PCanywhere 12.0 in not compatible with the new Windows Vista OS. I have used Symantec's products for some time now & there are no cautions on their web site that 12.0...

Total pain to get going
I'm what I consider to be computer savvy and thought I'd have little difficulty installing this software. Boy, was I wrong! I had to pay a computer person to come to my home and the hoome of the other user to install this software after MONTHS...

Think of it as the old-school option. Any number of Web-based services provide instant access to distant PCs—tools like GoToMyPC , LogMeIn , and LapLink Everywhere but the ever-popular pcAnywhere still handles remote control as a local software...
PROS: Runs on multiple platforms. Includes administrator tools. Can access multiple PCs from the same window.
CONS: Not as simple and easy to use as GoToMyPC or LogMeIn.
