Good...but not great
John Scofield is always good to watch...but the actuall interview and the information I could get from this instructional video are not as good as I expected. Still, the written booklet is very nice. I don't know if I would buy it again, though.

This DVD is an incredible lesson
John Scofield has played with Miles Davis and is an incredible guitarist. After watching only the first 20 minutes I learned a lot.

A must for fans of Sco's "Blue Matter" period.
For those familiar with John's "Blue Matter" jazz/funk period, this DVD and Jazz Funk Guitar II are a must. I would argue with another reviewer here that there's actually good instructional value here. It's very hard to create a video lesson...

DVD Review
This DVD is okay with very little instructional value. The program is done in interview form with very little teaching. A bad DVD for someone who is trying to get into jazz-funk playing but probably resourceful for those familiar with the genre.
