The ASD-1R, also know as the Denon iDock, is the latest from Denon to provide a newer and more convenient connection for iPod users to compatible Denon components. The iDock is available in black or white finishes, and includes all connecting cables as well as adaptors to accommodate the many different sizes of iPods (Minis, Nano, Photo, Video etc). iPod users will feel the power of 'Command and Control' with the iDock and the Denon component it is connected to with features like on-screen display of all metadata (playlists, artist, song etc), full remote control of accessing audio files and the iDock will even charge the iPod. We attempted hooking up two ASD-3Ns to two different AVR2807s and neither would work. The first one worked for a short period intermittently and then stopped producing audio and video (aside from a NOT CONNECTED prompt) and the second...

- Denon iPod dock RULES!!
Plugged right into my Denon receiver and allows you to control the iPod with your remote, and keeps it charges to boot. Pretty cool!

- Does Not Work With Latest 6G iPod
This unit is fabulous if you have a 5G or earlier iPod. Apple has deliberately made the latest iPod incompatible with lots of earlier equipment and this unit unfortunately will not work with it.
