Encyclopedia Of Movies
Mr. Maltin has done a great service to movie buffs like myself. It's very important to me to know the names of the actors while watching the so-called old movies on TCM and AMC.

A staple in our house
Where would we be without this wonderfully helpful, sixteen-hundred-page book? Not only do Maltin and staff discuss and rate movies, they now include brief filmographies of the biggest movie stars and best-known directors.

Great Resource Guide
I agree with others reviews about quite a few of the 2007 movies not being included. That being said, if you are looking for a complete resource to help you build your DVD home-delivery queue, this is it.

Bible for anyone into movies. Even with IMDB and google at your fingertips, it's still nice to have the original hard copy guide. Nice to see directors index put back in after being removed from earlier editions.

Good to have a hardcopy
Pretty complete and fair reviews. Yes, you can get better on-line, but if you are flipping through cable, it is nice to have this nearby. All movies are in alphabetical order.
