Sparks flew between arch-rivals Kevin Schwantz and Wayne Rainey in the seven years they graced the World Championship stage. Now close friends, their competitiveness spurred them to push their machines ever faster, prompting the wheelies, twitches and powerslides that summed up the era of powerful, super-lightweight GP bikes. Mick Doohan and Alex Crivillé also cross swords, as they nudge each other aside for the lead. In another epic season-long duel, Olivier Jacque andShinya Nakano scrapped for seven months before the last lap of the World Championship, finishing within hundredths of a second for first and second place.
