At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

I had this for 11 months. I had a huge number of problems with it. Even now, one year after manufacture, the BIOS still has bunch of bugs and on top of that, ASUS seems to have dropped the ball on driver support also. This is the buggiest board I...

I would like to see this motherboard supporting the opterons processors,.... ... because the limited qntity of Fan Connectors, I cant make a powerful cooling system...... I think ASUS need to make a hard work to make these motherboard better....
PROS: Its works a rocks fast, works cool and quiet[excellent work of asus in it], the SLI works fine in 16x,one of the things that left me intrigued is the AI Life Game....
CONS: Dont have high definition audio codec, dont suport the new type of sata[sata II],the bus suport only 1Ghz while a8nsli premium suports 2Ghz, it is very limited in qntity of Fan Connectors[only 1!!!!]

Nice but questionable for future growth as a workstation
This is certainly a nice game PC and you can do some level of 3D rendering work under Windows XP Pro 64bit. However, it won't hold more than 4 gigs of ram which may be a problem for 3D rendering projects that require lots of memory. At the time...
PROS: Automatic overclocking is nice
CONS: Only has a 4 gigabyte limit for ram which may be a problem with sophisticated 3D rendering projects that need lots of memory on a 64 bit operating system like Windows XP Pro 64 bit.

THE BEST
I use it with the fan on 4 out of 10 and I am cooling: A8N32 North and South bridge - AMD FX-60 - and 2 7800GTX's :-) It's good to be the king ;-) Good Luck all!!!
PROS: Great board all around! Awesome looking too with the pipes etc... But you should loose them and liquid cool them, they get way to hot and causes system degridation fast
CONS: You really have to loose the nice looking North/South bridge cooling pipes to keep this baby purring. Liquid cooling is the best way, if not be sure to have alot of wind over that board, the chips ove

Awesome Motherboard & Feature Rich!
I went with dual video, of course, and a PCIe TVTuner. Installing everything was a snap. The PCI slots are crowded, so if you have to have more than one it will get hot in there (might be fixed by going to liquid cooling). I don't see why you...
PROS: Quality, completeness of package, extra goodies.
CONS: Broken FTP BIOS AutoUpdater for Windows, Manual not very clear on details (common amongst board manufacturers).
