Somethings Are Better Not Remastered
This is an extraordinary album, and a seminal one for many people getting into blues in the '60's. I have had this in one form or another since the week it originally came out on vinyl in Mono in the US. Interestingly (at least to me) , it is one of the few albums that I prefer in MONO untouched...

Nice for Brits to intro the US BLUES
I wrote my comments after I read someone saying Mayall had all these originals. They are covers, and the originals are well worth listening to. At the time this release came out, BLACK artists were not allowed to play on US radio. WHITE STATIONS called ALL BLACK MUSIC-- "RACE MUSIC." I can...

John Mayall And The Bluesbreakers 1966
From the opening track, "All Of Your Love", from the closing track, "Bernard Jenkins", this album is non stop ride of blues and R&B and rock all mixed together too make this 34 minute album. Its a true classic and this the only album you need by them. I cant even describe how great this CD is its...

Bluesbreakers
Bluesbreakers, John Mayall With Eric Clapton *****To not go track by track describing the genius of each track is going to be a challenge as every song here is worth outstanding merit. Before Bluesbreakers who knew Brits had so much soul, I know I didn't. But the music heard and played here is...

One excellent reason to buy this: Clapton at his best
When this first came out (LP), anyone who played guitar HAD to have this. While Clapton had played in the Yardbirds, few really noticed his solos at the time. Instead, he seemed to come from nowhere preceded by his "Guitar God" reputation. We largely tuned out Mayall's voice and the horns and...

Still great
I hadn't heard this album in 30 years, since I had it on vinyl. It is still as great as ever - better than I remembered, probably because I have a better appreciation now for Mayall and what he contributed to the world. Clapton was just about to reach God status and it's easy to see why his rise...

Classic early Eric Clapton
I stumbled onto this one when reviewing a Yardbirds CD. This was the group that Eric Clapton was with (although very shortly) after leaving the Yardbirds and before forming Cream. His guitar work makes this album/CD worth listening to. Some really great stuff, very bluesy. No hit singles on this...

A True British Blues Classic
First remastered edition of a classic British blues album. The sound is very good, there are original liner notes and photographs and the tracks are very good too.

If you like Clapton...
This is a great album for anyone who is a fan of Clapton or blues guitar music. A nice arrangement for 1966. A true test of time.
