Great modem, bad rebate, Do not buy at Circuit City.

Modem is very reliable
Have had no significant problems with the Motorola modem. Cable service (Comcast) does go down at times and then the modem is useless and you have to switch to slow dial up service temporarily. Restart to cable service is easy with the modem.

Does work well as expected.
Relatively easy to install and since then, it seems stable. Because of the cable connection, it is faster than DSL which connection we used for last several years. At moment, there is no problem to be reported.

This modem fixed my problems
Comcast said my ancient Toshiba PCX1000 modem was OK, but was experiencing frequent 'unable to find page messages'. Problems disappeared when I bought this modem to replace it. Nice plus is that I no longer pay $3/mo to Comcast for their old modem.

It was not clearly visible on product. I purchased and then I find out that is will be applied for comcast customers

The so-called rebate is a scam
After you buy the modem, you find out that you have to buy and activate a service agreement, or you don't get the rebate. So figure that you're paying $80+ for a modem and decide if it's worth it.
