I purchased this product back in August of 08. I've been having performance issues with my cable internet suppose to be running at 16mbs, never really achieved those speeds. Then finally I keeped loosing internet connection then it quit...

I find the other review horribly unfair. To judge a modem based on its ability to circumvent cable companies is just wrong. I don't agree with all their policies... but dis the cable company and not the modem. This modem has been stable...

Come on guys. you know as well as we do, most cable vendors require you to use their equipment. Usually this is a broken down version of last decade technology, and no features but a single eithernet port to pump your entire network data...
