At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

"Nice Budget Camera"

"Good inexpensive camcorder"
We bought one of these at Best Buy on sale for $200.00. Despite the less than favorable Cnet review, I believe it's a good camcorder for the money. It has a good picture and it's not complicated. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a decent camco

"A very good camera (CNET editor review seems biased to me)"
The Panasonic PV-GS 80 is a very good camcorder for its price tag (entry level). The picture is very good, good color reproduction, even in low-light situations. I also like the lens which reaches wide-angle, hardly seen in this price level. And it h

Panasonic Camcorder
PROS: We gave this as a gift for my son-in-law's college graduation and he loves it!! He majored in film so nothing gets past him where photography is concerned. He kept commenting on how crisp the pictures are...even long distance shots.

Fantastic Camera!
Without an affordable option to have 'the best of both worlds' in one unit (DCamera/Video) I wanted a basic and video cam. Love this one. Easy to use and has great optics (OIS) for the price. One feature I really appreciate is a fade-in,...
