No frills grind...

I'm almost done with the graphing chapter. I have 2 other "Dummies" workbooks (Geometry and Pre-Calc) and they are written in a much more animated style. It seems like the author Mary Jane Sterling did not care enough to really introduce the material in a way that might appeal to beginners, or...

Great Review

This was a great review. I am about to enter college and have not done math in 12 years. This book really got me up to speed and should help out in my placement test. I would recommend this book for anybody who once knew this stuff but needs a refresher for sure.

I am just finishing Chapter 5 and already I have found 4 mistakes in basic math and algebra. These errors include mistakes in addition, failing to include a term of an equation in the answer, failure to change signs properly. I do not know if these errors were made by the author or the...
