Riedel Riedel O Martini

Martini glasses combine decorative styling... More with impeccable form and functionality. Crafted from non-lead crystal, mouth blown, and made in Austria. Founded in 1756, Austria's Riedel Crystal is the world's premier manufacturer of wine glasses and has always catered to the fine wine connoisseur. The Riedel family has been in the glass business for 300 years, with 11 generations keeping the family business intact. In Riedel lingo, the glass is the "messenger of the wine" and each glass is a "tailored suit for the wine."  more

Don't actually own these, but ...

Don't actually own these, but saw them when looking for other Riedel glasses and wanted to comment. The purpose of the long stem on a martini glass is to provide a way to hold the glass without warming it with your fingers. That's because martinis (real martinis - not "chocolatinis" or "tunatinis"...

Stemless Wine Glasses

I bought them for someone this is what they said - "I think they do enhance the flavor of the wine. They seem to be of really fine quality (very thin glass but not fragile). and with no stem, I don't have to worry about knocking them over so easily."
