Good basic light
Very pleased with the way this light helps in dark situations. It really helps highlight faces and works well when your subject is 4 - 8 feet away. Too close and it is too harsh on both your subject (squinting) and your footage (hot spots), too far and it doesn't illuminate the subject good...

Works great
It's a bit brighter than I expected it to be, which is a good thing! Works well, seller shipped quickly. My favourite thing about this is that I use 2 Canon GL2's for my wedding shoots, with plenty of batteries, and the VL-10 uses the same batteries so it's very convenient.

NO BATTERY INCLUDED. IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!
This is an excellent item if it comes with the battery. Most sellers will not include the battery. The one I ordered "did not" come with the battery. It is impossible to find the battery to this thing anywhere. I had to send mine back.

Good light.. cheap!
Obviously there is no dimmer, no diffuser etc.. but you get a great light for little money and it does its single job well. For overcoming the diffuser issue.. just go buy some 100% white nylon fireproof cloth (same as is used for softboxes) and
