PROS: Sharp Aquos LC-52D65U 2009 is a great tv for the money. You get a superior flat screen for a little money. Looked at many options and manufacturers and this model stood up to all. 5 hdmi ports full 1080p at a great price from 6th ave.

PROS: The fact that theres 5 HDMI inputs on this model is a big plus. theres also a USB port for Firmware updates/Service port. i can only hope & wait that Sharp addresses this standard def issue.
CONS: Standard Definition mode in a word SUCKS !!! this is my 1st. HDTV and the standard def is worst than my old RCA (1992) 52 rear projection big screen TV. thats unfortunate for sharp and its 1st foray into a energy saver model of a HI-DEF LCD 52 Set.

PROS: Great picture and excellent sound quality from 15W speakers. According to the CNET review of the D85U model with the faster 120hz refresh rate, there was no discernible real-life difference in blurriness between the 65 and 85 models. Save your money!
CONS: Haven't had any problems so far, including the bugaboo of banding. Side angle viewing is excellent and the color tone etc is easily manipulated with an on-screen menu. What's not to like??

PROS: Web TV Widgets included. News, sports, weather, traffic, games, and a widget called ScreenDreams, including high definition images from space, beahces, forrests, and mountain ranges. No color calibration needed out of the box. A++ Energy efficient.
CONS: Sound out of the speakers is not good. You will definitely need a Home Theatre System. Reflective Screen, a non glossy finish may have been nicer. High glossy finish on the frame of the TV makes it susceptible to fingerprints and denting.

PROS: The picture quality is simply outstanding, once the tv has been properly calibrated. The black levels are great and the color accuracy is impeccable. Viewing angle is far superior to most other LCD tv's. Feature set is good.
CONS: My only complaint is that this tv lacks wi-fi connectivity (there is an ethernet port, however) to stream Netflix, etc. Also, you will have to invest some time to calibrate this tv to get the best possible picture...but the result is worth it!
