PROS: Sharp Aquos LC-52D65U 2009 is a great tv for the money. You get a superior flat screen for a little money. Looked at many options and manufacturers and this model stood up to all. 5 hdmi ports full 1080p at a great price from 6th ave.
CONS: Not much is wrong. A little sharp around the edges.

PROS: The fact that theres 5 HDMI inputs on this model is a big plus. theres also a USB port for Firmware updates/Service port. i can only hope & wait that Sharp addresses this standard def issue.
CONS: Standard Definition mode in a word SUCKS !!! this is my 1st. HDTV and the standard def is worst than my old RCA (1992) 52 rear projection big screen TV. thats unfortunate for sharp and its 1st foray into a energy saver model of a HI-DEF LCD 52 Set.

Just purchased this unit and have a blown pixel. I don't know if it came out of the box this way or if it just occured after 3 weeks of usage. In anycase, I looked this up on google and it seems to be a not so uncommon problem with some SHARP...

PROS: The Sharp LC-32D43U reproduces a deep shade of black; relatively accurate color temperature preset; decent backlight uniformity and off-angle viewing; sleek styling; ample connectivity with two HDMI and one PC input.
CONS: Expensive compared to bargain models; subpar standard-def video processing; fewer picture adjustments than many LCDs; can't change aspect ratios with HD sources.
