this t.v. broke within 2 weeks and have to wait for a week before it was fixed. The repairman said the big board is not working and have to change the board. Waited for three days for the board to come. We thought samsung is supposed to be good....

The Samsung LN40A650 is the smallest of the 3 TVs in the A650 family. Its size doesn't mean it won't pack a heavy punch. Armed with half a dozen great features, it'll make sure you're glued in front of the tube for as long as possible.

PROS: Pictures from this TV are clear and the colors are vibrant. Styling of the TV is excellent and requires little adjustment of the settings out of the box
CONS: Price of the TV is higher than most brands. Remote seems more like a kids toy than a high end TV remote.

PROS: Reproduces relatively deep black levels; accurate color; very good dejudder processing; extensive feature set with Yahoo widgets, network streaming, and built-in content; solid connectivity with four HDMI inputs and one PC input; energy efficient.
CONS: Somewhat expensive; dark areas tinged bluer; benefits of 120Hz difficult to discern; shiny screen can cause reflections in bright rooms; no S-Video inputs; overt red coloration and funky styling not for everyone.

CONS: Haven't had any problems with it except for what happen after the geeksquad came to calibrate tv. Also sound is not the best, but then again, if you're able to buy this TV I'm sure you can pony up for a nice surround sound sytem.

Why does it lose power for 3-5 seconds
After the tv has been on for an hour or so it will "crack", picture will "tear" and the power goes off for 3-5 seconds. This is very frustrating. Was a problem in some of the earlier models but thought Samsung had fixed the problem.
