PROS: Love the remote and menu system. The contrast is nice and punchy. Sound is decent for on tv speakers.

CONS: A BIG ONE - Putting my SONY PlayStation 3 into 1080P mode triggers a "snow effect" that includes an annoying crackling sound. Not sure if others have experienced this major flaw with this tv but steer clear if you want 1080p on a PS3.

Amazing Picture & Surround Sound

The Mitsubishi replaced the HD CRT Sony XBR960 I bought from Crutchfield four years ago. Most experts considered the XBR to be a benchmark. The Mitsubishi is neck and neck in video (except for black level) and its audio leaves the Sony in the dust.

Look out for this product. I bought a LT46244 last year and a green line has just appeared on the screen and an internet search says mitsubishi is of no help. If you buy this product plan on extended warrantee also if you want to keep it.
