At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

Powerful while also light weight
I was trying to buy a higher model of Black&Decker elective mower. But found this one is much lighter. Consider the slight hill of my house, I decide to go this one. I find it is quite powerful and does all the work.

This mower is a tank!
I have over a half acre of hilly terrain to mow. This mower is excellent. I did not have to backtrack once, and the grass/weeds were up to over a foot and a half in some places. The mower mulched excellently as well. I am very happy with my...

Pass on this model. Get the MM875.
I purchased my first new home in April and guess what comes with a new home: a lawn. Even when I was a kid, I only mowed the lawn once, so the idea of mowing a lawn was completely new to me. The home builder did not take care of the lawn very...

I like it.
The mower was easy to put together, easy to use. I especially like the ability to turn it on and off with great ease. I bought it for my Mother-(I'm her daughter) as I care for her large yard and did not want to mess with gas and oil. So far it...

Nice mower in general
Bought the mower a couple of months ago and have been using it to mow the lawn, typical city lawn attached to a corner individual house. Works well plenty of power and is quiet enough. Problems: When used in chute mode, the chute fell off often...

Good electric lawn mower
I've had this mower about 1 month. It mowed fine the 3 times I've used it. My previous B&D electric mower lasted about 15-20 years, so I'll comment on durability in about 10 years. The new mower is considerably heavier, but that is due to my...

B&D electric lawnmower
This lawnmower fits my needs. I am old and don't have the strength to start my self propelled gas mower. Since the new mower isn't self propelled it takes more effort to push. It cuts---though a narrower path--very well and I like that I can turn...

Black & Decker 18-inch Mulching Mower
Having opted to buy an electric mower, I believe that I made a good choice. The primary reasons for choosing an electric mower were 1.) I can't tolerate the fumes from gas-powered mowers and 2.)the price of gas keeps going up. Dealing with keeping...
