Power Salsa
2000 release by this pioneering hard salsa group from Colombia. Fruko utilizes two strong 'sonero' vocalists on this record, Wilson Saoko and Gabino Pampini. On this comeback effort, they re-visit their signature tune, 'El Preso' and come up with a very exciting new version. They also cover the Juan Gabriel standard 'Se Me Olvido Otra Vez' in a swinging, tough salsa style. This group paved the way for Colombian stars such as Joe Arroyo and Grupo Niche. Overall a dancer's delight! more
