"Great Buy, Works Great"
I think that this product is good and it fits my needs: excellent capabilities when it comes to gaming, surfing the internet, and document editing. 2GB ram (with a potential of 3.75GB) is enough for heavy internet surfing and other processing. The wi

PROS: This product does quite well, stock out. Yet it has a fair share of pre-installed apps that are not necessary: internet, etc. Given software tweaks, it performs great. I highly suggest this to people looking for a desktop replacement
CONS: Device is heavy (~8lbs). Bulky, large screen. What you pay for is what you get. Lot of software that doesn't need to be installed: AOL, etc. Needs some tweaking for optimal use.

PROS: Fast, decent looking case
CONS: Horrible on board sound, LCD will 100% for certain develop vertical lines that will not go away (Do a search in Google if you don't believe me), Dell will transfer you to India for support and will not replace your defective laptop LCD.

Dell's high-end 17-inch XPS M1710 is a popular choice for hard-core gamers who need a desktop replacement system, but the company's mainstream Inspiron E1705 offers a more media-center-oriented take on big-screen laptops. Minus the flashing lights an

PROS: High-resolution screen, front-edge media control buttons, decent graphics lets it double as a mobile gaming rig; includes USB TV tuner and Media Center remote.
CONS: No next-gen optical drive options; cramped keyboard for such a large system.
