After I got it back from Toshiba, my DVD rom drive will not a read any discs CD or DVD. I new this probably happened with them swapping out the hard drive. Now it cuts power to the machine as if you take out the battery and power plug....

PROS: Would be a great laptop if worked properly
CONS: First problem I had a Hitachi smart failure on the hard drive that told me to replace it. I have a 3 year system guard from toshiba that will cover anything and go the hard drive replaced.

PROS: With Best Buy rebate this well equipped notebook has all the bells and whistles of a $2500.00 computer. I would recommend it to anyone who needs Speed and storage on the road.
CONS: Media Center is buggy and should have been blue tooth the wires eliminate the freedom of the wireless LAN.

PROS: Good basic laptop of surfing the internet, downloading & playing music.
CONS: The biggest issue with the laptop is the exterior casing/backing for the LCD Screen. The backing is not firm -- very soft. I had to replace the LCD becasue the pixels became dammaged.
