CONS: no controls on unit. Price. sweat causes issues (sweat gets into the cable controls) for many who workout using this diminutive iPod.

PROS: The small size of the shuffle is cool, compact and durable. The voice-over is awesome. The ability to listen to audiobooks is a bonus.
CONS: I lost mine the first day in my car. When I took my seat belt off the shuffle clipped onto it and it slid all the way up. Same color and all. The problem I have had so far is that the controls stop working when moisture from exercise is present.

CONS: The headphones. Bad move Apple. Placing the controls on the ear buds themselves and making the headphones so cheap that they quit working if any amount of sweat gets on them. BAD APPLE, BAD!!!

PROS: 1. The earbuds that come with the Shuffle are the most comfortable I have found *for me* to date. I hate the ones that stick in the ear canal. 2. The size of the unit. By far the lightest mp3 player I've ever laid hands on. 3. The metal clip.
CONS: 1. The FF is only one speed and the unit doesn't recognize audible chapters within a file. 2. display. 3. auto turn-off (that I have seen yet). 4. Poor quality. This is #5 in a string of duds. (more later) 5. The USB dock.

PROS: Easy for a child to use. VERY durable. When I took my daughter's jacket out of the dryer and saw her iPod in the pocket I expected it to be ruined. I charged the iPod for a couple minutes & turned it on. To my surprise, it worked just fine!
