PROS: Small and it works some times
CONS: Shuts down unexpectedly sometimes. One computer to work properly. Must be reset often to sync with computer. Does not recognise all imports, legal or not. Batteries can't be replaced. When dead, you through it away and spend hundreds for a new one.

If you listen to podcasts the 4th generation IPod will not progress to the next file in the list. You have to manually select the next file- not a good idea if you are driving at the time! I have yet to find a workable solution to this problem....

I received this as a gift, about 20 minutes after my 2nd gen nano was pronounced dead due to a stuck hold switch (though this switch had only been used twice, and not for 6 months), and a corroded logic board (moisute entered through docking port).

PROS: video is clear, shake to shuffle, album art displys, music content easy to find with alphabetical search, works well with Sharepod
CONS: docking port still exposed, need to buy new speaker/chargers & car chargers), won't load some compatible video formats, no eq settings, Apple (non)support. When is Apple going to realize (or care) that one earbud size does not fit all?
