I received this as a gift, about 20 minutes after my 2nd gen nano was pronounced dead due to a stuck hold switch (though this switch had only been used twice, and not for 6 months), and a corroded logic board (moisute entered through docking port).

Although the new Nano looks nice, if you own ipod accessories beware that the new nano will not work with them. It must charge through a USB port, and therefore will not charge in your car, through your speakers, or even through the apple wall plug. I am sorry I purchased it. It is such a pain...
