Human After All
You'd never guess from Human After All that these are the same guys who came up with the opulent dance grooves of 2001's Discovery. On Human After All it sounds like Daft Punk's robotic alter egos have finally gotten the upper hand and made an album that is defiantly free of emotion and personality. Instead, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo amp up the irony and deliver a set of songs that are maddeningly repetitive, raucous and bound to test the most devoted fan's patience. But even as the French duo short-circuits it manages to captivate--the spoken-word "Technologic" and the digitized "The Prime Of Your Life" are just bananas enough to make its euphoric hit "One More Time" sound positively last century. --Aidin Vaziri more

It's Alright
It's has nothing on Discovery, but it's a pretty cool little album in its own right. My personal favorites are "Human After All," "The Prime Time of Your Life," "Make Love," "Technologic," and "Emotion."

. . . sometimes I'm Human . . .
. . . whether one dances . . . or not, does not detract from the beauty of Daft Punk doing what they do best: Electronic Music. I am glad that they were able to express this vibe (Human After All), perhaps alluding to us all living repetitive existence, which adds dimension to their complete...

Emotion
Alot of people said that this album was repetetive, well if your into House music you would be use to beats repeating over and over again anyways even though this is not a house album it's still awesome featuring some nice guitar playing by Daft Punk. The song "Human After All" is defintly my...

I tried
I really did try to love this album, but it never happened. Now there is some really good songs on here and i really do love the simplicity of the instruments they used, and i really enjoy the the simple construction of the songs, but when its just the same thing over and over for 5 mins you...

Way underrated
I bought Alive yesterday. The only studio album I have right now of theirs is this one and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's not old enough yet, even though I know I'll never get sick of it. Last Saturday, heading into work for a minute or two, I was listening to this...

Wow?
This album is tricky......If you are a first timer to electronica or daft punk this album is not for you. If you are a fan of daft punk you will either love this or hate it. Like with anything daft punk does they always try something different for every album they pump out. Most people claim that...

Not what I had expected
Unlike Discovery before it Human After All isn't a song that you can listen through without skipping more than a song or two. While it isn't a cd filled with singles there are a few songs that shine through such as Human After All, Robot Rock and Technologic. However there are a few Daft sounds...

Five Stars If You've Seen the ALIVE Tour! Maybe Less if you haven't....
This album was difficult for me to get into completely until I saw Daft Punk live on their "ALIVE" tour. They put on a full show, complete with a story and amazing lighting and props that are almost Vegas-like. The Daft Punk duo are dressed as robot aliens performing on stage inside a...

Really good...considering what it's following
Let's face it, it'd be hard to beat the fantastic work in Daft Punk Discovery. Yet, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo have done an excellent job with their new work "Human After All."The music, while more mechanical in its melodies and rhythm, it's as if the performers are begging...

Not exactly what was expected from the French duo.
In the beginning, Daft Punk began solely as a trance-y, dance-y, electronic kind of group, particularily with the release of "Homework", which I feel is a two-and-a-half star album. Now, "Discovery" is the best thing Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel De Homem-Christo released, filled with...
