Replaced a Denon AVR-2000 with Yamaha HTR 6080 and would not go back. Am using Logitech Harmony 720 remote and it interfaces very well with the Yamaha. Plenty of inputs -- enough for turntable, tape deck, cd player, DVD player, DVD/VCR...

Don't count on playing movies or cd's the first night home with this monster. First it's everybody back to school, and taking a few hours (or days) learning all the zen-like details of choosing a "template" and making a "scene." Just...
