LRP-100Q - REDWALL PIR Out Door Motion

The Redwall 100Q is a rugged external long range passive infrared detector. It is designed to provide reliable intruder detection at distances of up to 100 metres (330'). Operation Detection is achieved by monitoring changes of far infrared levels in the sensor's field of view. The Redwall is a single ended device and therefore does not require a transmitter or receiver at the far end of the area to be protected. It is totally passive and does not emit any transmission to achieve detection. The detector's electronic processor uses dual threshold techniques and is thermally compensated. This ensures constant detection over a wide temperature range. Optics This all new detector is the culmination of many years of sensor design experience and features a truly unique optical system (patents pending) which combines long focal length reflecting and short focal length refracting systems. The computer-designed reflecting surfaces are coated in pure gold to maximize their performance. Installation The Redwall 100Q is simple to install and maintain. The integral mounting bracket allows the sensing head to be used from a wall mount or pillar mounted position. Setting up and walk-testing is made easy with an LRP 1020 Audio Walktester. This uses a sweeping sound method to show exactly the position of the detection areas. The Redwall comes complete with comprehensive installation instructions, allen keys to lock the sensing head in position and expandable bolts for mounting. RFI/EMI The Redwall's sensing electronics are housed within a fully screened metal enclosure which, being located in the sensor's cast alminium head, are thereby doubly protected against radio interference. Comprehensive decoupling of the electronics also adds to the sensor's ability to reject sources of electro-magnetic interference. Applications The Redwall 100Q is ideal for use in the following applications: Perimeter Protection The detector's ability to provide a curtain-shaped coverage pattern over 100 metres (330 feet) makes it highly cost effective against all other types of perimeter protection systems. CCTV Motion Sensing The Redwall 100Q can be used to activate a CCTV system. It can either alert an operator's attention to an intrusion or be used to automatically start a video recording or telephone line transmission system. Energy Management The sensor's extraordinary long range capability can be utilised in an energy management system to operate lighting when movement is detected in the area of coverage.  more
