Onkyo DX C390 CD changer
At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

Onkyo DXC390 6 Disc CD Player
It plays as it should. My old Sony of many years finally, "let-go." I was prepared to buy another Sony Carousel but was put off by several consumer reviews. Two of the reviews touted this Onkyo and I followed suit. So far, It's performed...

Awesome Cd player
Onkyo has really good products. This cd player is really nice. It is very quiet. The sound quality is great. It has optical and regular rca hook ups. I would recommend this cd player to anyone. Better yet buy the one that plays DVDs too.

Excellent unit, but prone to skipping from woofer vibrations
I'm happy with every aspect of this unit, except one rather major flaw: it lacks vibration-isolating feet (or effective ones, anyway). As a result, I can only turn my system up to about half-volume before the CDs start skipping, even though it's...

Onkyo DX-C390
What a disappointment to descover that the tray that holds the CDs would not open. This machine now resides in the garbage. I am now searching other brands with the hope that someone makes a CD player that is not junk.

Very happy with Onkyo
This CD player replaces a fairly new but unrepairable other-brand. I use it with my really old system, all original components Onkyo. So far, the new item is great. Has more features than I need. Also replaced my worn out speakers. I have a...

Okay for a year.
The unit worked fine for a little over a year. Then it started showing "no disk" even though a disk was inserted.

Great for upper mid-fi system
I must admit that I was skeptical about buying this unit. I needed a CD player for a 2 channel system and I wanted to spend much, much more, but my budget wouldn't allow me. It came down to this Onkyo and an H/K disc changer, which I couldn't find
