With shipping I got my mm28 for $25 from Amazon.com. A $300 Bose will give you $300 of sound quality w/o the portability. My $25 mm28 gives me at least $75 sound quality, triple it's cost, which makes it a great VALUE speaker. For it's size, the mm28

PROS: very portable/slim, great sound, universal jack let's me play my ipod or expand my laptop speaker set
CONS: no rechargeable battery, no speaker volume control

PROS: thin, portable, comes with adapter, plays well, can also use 4 AAA batteries, affordable ($60 at Fry's) and compared to other "never ever heard of" brands, a covering of the speaker but also a stand
CONS: could have gave me a bag of something to hold all of it
