The Language of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence for Belief
Dr. Francis Collins, head of the Human Genome Project, is one of the world's leading scientists. He works at the cutting edge of the study of DNA, the code of life. Yet he is also a man of unshakable faith in God and scripture. Dr. Collins believes that faith in God and faith in science can coexist within a person and be harmonious. In The Language of God he makes his case for God and for science. He has heard every argument against faith from scientists, and he can refute them. He has also heard the needless rejection of scientific truths by some people of faith, and he can counter that, too. He explains his own journey from atheism to faith, and then takes readers for a stunning tour of modern science to show that physics, chemistry, and biology can all fit together with belief in God and the Bible. The Language of God is essential reading for anyone who wonders about the deepest questions of faith: Why are we here? How did we get here? What does life mean?

A theologian looks at The Language of God
Dr. Francis Collins has written a timely book which shows clearly that there should be no conflict between science and religion. While I am trained in theology, I have very little expertise in science, yet Collins made the "Big-bang" theory and evolutionary theory make sense to me. I struggled to...

Evolution is not Compatible with Creationism
Although I am very excited that the author has expressed his faith in Jesus Christ and I rejoice with him over his Salvation, I wanted to make the observation here that Evolution is not compatible with Creationism. I site a few of the major facts here:According to Darwinism, all life on earth...

Language of God in simple terms
This book is written in a simple, straightfoward manner which enables the reader to understand principles of physics and such in a rudimentary way. It is a fascinating read, including the authors own walk through disbelief to a beautiful understanding how God's Creation and Evolution are not...

Recommended Reading, Though Limited In Scope
This is a good introduction to the perspective of theistic evolution. An easy read. Much though is missing regarding the alternative theological thoughts in order to harmonize Christianity & evolution. Collin's arguments are fine, though not very bullet-proof. The biggest take-away for most...

God, Truth and Believers
The themes that have stayed with me after reading Dr. Francis Collins' powerful book are these: 1)The creative power of God is limitless and observable in the natural order of our world 2) We don't know everything there is to know about God and His creation (and that's ok) and 3) Christians have...

Ignore the subtitle
Many reviewers note that Collins' book doesn't really provide evidence for belief and complain that the subtitle is misleading. It is-- no doubt thanks to the publisher. Many also note that Collins says as much in the text. "BioLogos [theistic evolution] is not intended as a scientific theory....

Collins is right on science wrong on God
Decoding the Language of God: Can a Scientist Really Be a Believer? I read this book several times because Collins claims to reconcile his scientific worldveiw with his faith in Jesus as God. In spite of the book being a best seller and receiving good reviews I found his so called evidence to be...

If there was no God,Scientists,Philosophers and Men of Good Will would search for one.
After over 300 reviews ,what more can one say about this book.Well here are a few thoughts. It is certainly worth reading by anyone with an open mind as well as people whose minds are made up. I once asked a Theologian if the whole story of Noah's Arc really made any logical sense. Two of every...

Best case against ID I have ever seen
I bought this book right after I lost faith in Christianity. I was an atheist and looking for a book by an intellectual (aka, someone smarter than me) who would lay out solid, logical reasons why the idea of a God and a Christian one at that was warranted. Instead I got a great anti-ID book...
