Sony MDR V700DJ Ear-cup 24 Ohm Headphone

Sony's MDRV700DJ series DJ headphones feature convenient, reversible swivel earcups for DJ and remix applications (great for single-sided monitoring) and an auto-return swivel mechanism that snaps the earcups back to standard listening positions. Silver finished for a sleek, professional look, the set's folding design allows for easy storage and portability. These headphones use high-end materials and advanced engineering for critically clean, exceptionally clear sound aimed at professional and high-fidelity applications. The MDRV700DJ offers 3,000 mW power handling for the most stringent professional applications and daily use at very high output levels. Their Neodymium magnets pack more magnetic energy per ounce than conventional Ferrite, Samarium Cobalt, or Aluminum magnets for high sensitivity and output (107 dB/mW). The headphones supra-aural design ensures excellent listening comfort, resting lightly on the ears, and creates a controlled environment for better sound. A wide, molded headband distributes the headphone's weight over your whole head; reduced pressure means comfortable listening for hours on end. The MDRV700DJ even has a serrated area on the plug that acts as a "hanger"--plugged into a rack of equipment, the headphones can hang on the plug when not in use. Large, 50 mm drivers deliver deep bass down to an impressive subsonic 5 Hz and provide outstanding dynamic range, bolstered by Sony's use of a neodymium magnet for maximal energy from minimal size. A detachable, single-sided cord lets you listen at a distance of 10 feet from your source, while its oxygen-free-copper design delivers maximal conductivity with minimal noise.  more

"Powerful sound for the price"

Overall the best bang for your buck. I drum with these for many hours every day and experience the full range of my beats with more volume available than I can handle. Then, when I plug in the rest of the tracks, these headphones perfectly incorporat

"great sound and looks, cheap materials"

dont let the pictures fool you, they're not aluminum and the ear cups are not leather, I've had mine for 3 yrs and they still blow my ears out but they're falling to pieces, literally. The vinyl on the earcups and headband are disintegrating and the

"Great headphones"

These are great headphones. I am somewhat picky with my music sound. I like bass but if it sounds muddy I am annoyed. These do a great job of balancing both with a SLIGHT overemphasis of bass, which i like, without the other sounds getting dominated

Note: CORD DOES NOT DETATCH.

People should know that the cord does not attach, it is firmly stuck in the left earpiece, Sony's got their *&$%ing copy wrong and I bought a product on mis-advertised terms. Grr. Otherwise phones are great.

Uncomfortable, overpriced

These have been my main headphones for years. I've used them for DJing, listening to music, video chatting, phone calls, everything. The sound quality is OK.The problem is they are _extremely_ uncomfortable. After maybe 20 minutes of work, your ears and the top of your head will hurt. You have to...

Amazing SOUND!

I'm not a DJ, but I DO LOVE music! These headphones make everything sound better! Sounds that I've never heard in songs are apparent with these! They are extremely comfortable, and that says a lot because I have a small head and it's been difficult to find headphones that I like. Highly...

Not Only For DJ's and Even For Classical

I bought these headphones for there great specs which they live up to. I listen primarily to classical music, but these are good for Rock and Pop as well. The bass is big, deep, and roomy. Your amplifier doesn't need much power to drive these and you can drive them to deafening loudness levels...

A Very Satisfied Customer

Forget what you have read, these are the best dj headphones in the market (I should know, i'm a dj). i've had the same pair for two years straight. i'm guessing that the people who say they're flimsy doesn't take care of them. now for the review: they are very comfortable, they're loud (just the...

There are better headphones out there

The first few months of owning these headphones they were great! But after that they decided to blow on me. I never pushed them to the max or anything like that to make them do so, even when playing live. I use the right side for djing while the left side sits on the side of my head most of the...
