Plagues
The Devil Wears Prada, from Dayton Ohio, has had quite a year. One of the breakout bands of 2006. Selling more than 30,000 units of their debut record Dear love: a beautiful discord. Plagues, their intense sophomore record will surely not disappoint but rather propel the band to new heights. TDWP is gifted musically, they seamlessly intertwine technical metal and hardcore with melodic overtones. Super catchy and always heavy, they play mind blowing riffs that will crush cars. more

WILL melt your face off.
This album is really eclectic. From hardcore to metal core to high flying harmonies, it offers a lot! With a few 808's thrown in there, you can't go wrong with TDWP. Plagues is definitely one of there best! It will melt your face off.

So good, such a new sound.
I'm going to make this a short one, as everybody else has beaten it to death. I was not prepared for what I heard when I picked this album up. I had seen the very last song of their set at The Bamboozle and was blown away. This album completely redefines what it is to be metal, what is to be...

wow....
wow I don't even have words for this album. I mean seriously its a jaw dropper. I don't know how many different types of metal are possible to incorporate on a single album today but these guys take the cake on originality. From the killer vocals which can range from shrill screams to blend with...

Nice!
I first heard of these guys when I checked out Gwen Stacy. My brother bought plagues and I checked it out. It is amazing. Some of the songs sound the same at points, but there are parts that stand out in each song whether it be a cool piano part or the vocals. Think of them as like a really heavy...

can this be followed up?
This is absolutely the most intense CD I have ever heard from any band in my entire life! I can't even imagine what their third CD will be like!

Just Amazingly GREAT.
I got the leak of this CD 3 weeks before it came out and was probably expecting it to not be as good as their first album. Man, was I wrong. This is probably one of the best overall albums I've ever heard in my life. Every single track is strong and unrelenting. I have listened to this album from...

If you liked Dear Love and are afraid that the band may have "changed", never fear, TDWP totaly kills it on this one! more breakdowns, more lows and more brutality!

BEST METALCORE ALBUM OF THE YEAR(so far)
The Devil Wears Prada in my opinion not only deserves the Title for best metalcore band of the year but also comeback band of the year. Their last album was sub-par to say the least but on their latest release Plagues, The Devil Wears Prada unleashes a fury that is both brutal and beautiful and...

plagues
What a big step up for these guys! Wow! Like one reviewer already said, it's way more mature than their last album. The music is very "scene", but you just have to look past that. I don't buy an album just because "oh it's totally hot right now, and if i wanna be 'scene' i gotta buy it", i buy an...
