Just received the drive yesterday, so I have no idea how the drive will hold up, but am assured by WD's reputation. Admittedly I'm used to plug & play, and this device is "sorta' that. But be forewarned - the software can be sent to the waste bin. Dr

"Very compact drive."

I purchased this drive to use with my Alienware m15x, to store & move files to and from my desktop computer. The usb 2.0 connection worked out of the box. After formating the drive in windows and trying to connect the iee1394b cable, nothing happened
