The drive sets up very easily with Time Machine. Speed is fantastic (FW800). No problems at all.

Amazing, a HD... With a soundtrack no less!

Blah, blah, blah. It is a hard drive.Interesting note, however, it is noisy. Time to turn on the power saving features that suspend HDs if you want to be able to think over the dull noise.

Simple and easy with Time Machine

I simply hooked up the firewire connection and then turned it on. Time Machine picked it right up and keeps on updating my back-ups every hour. Love it. I have checked the Time Machine back-ups and all is there. Obviously I am using a Mac so maybe that is why it works so well.

Partially DOA

This drive required multiple connects and disconnects of the ac power cable to even start up. Software was confusing. Tech support in India totally frustrating. I returned the unit.

First the price was way beyond what the competitors are offering. Second the speed of the hard drive and the ease of use was well worth the purchase. Highly recommended.

It's quiet, doesn't get hot, and is easy to use. I use it as a back up for my LaCie Porsche 500gb. I transferred about 100gb of music and it took about 2 hours and change with firewire 400. It's really smart and turns on with your computer and turns
