"two different units failed"
About 6 months after purchase, unit failed to be recognized. Sent in for repair, they sent back a refurb, which failed same way after 8 months. They wouldn't replace drive. Stay away!

"piece of junk"
have tried on 2 computers (XP and Vista). XP computer locks up; Vista computer has been sitting here for hours not responding and a reboot has it forever in logging off mode. Very disappointed.

Safe, Secure, Storage
I was way overdue to make this purchase, and I am very pleased having finally made the investment. My husband and I take many pictures resulting in MANY downloaded onto my computer to deal with. I have had a fear of losing them, and this is a better answer than downloading them all onto discs....
