I bought this drive in May, 2007. It was advertised as having a three year warranty, and I have a PDF copy of the Maxtor spec sheet that confirms this model has a three year warranty. The drive failed in August, 2008, 15 months after...

- cheap and fast
I have this on my computer as a second hard drive in IDE mode, may change it to raid mode someday. I wanted to dual boot with Vista 64 and 32 bit, but haven't. Otherwise, it works fine and is as quite as any other hard drive out there....
