While the drive worked, it performed just fine. But it did not last very long. The first died after about a month of use, the replacement died in about a week. Sending off for another warranty replacement now.

Its a very stable hard drive and is SOOOOOO quiet. Other hard drives i have had have been very noisy when they were accessed. The top quality in my mind would have to be how much bang you get for your buck.

This is my second Maxtor drive, had a 60 GB one for two years, still chuggin' along, I've already put 90 GB on this one, continuous access for nearly a week, no issues, low heat output, nice and quiet, and I can launch files faster off...
